IT Value Chain and Reference Architecture

Question: Discuss about the IT Value Chain and Reference Architecture. Answer: Introduction The IT4ITTM consists of reference architecture and an operating model for value chain in managing the IT business operations (Pajic, Pantelic Stanojevic, 2014). The IT4IT would provide prescriptive guidance for the modification of the business process, designing system, and implementation of cloud network. The following report would provide an insight of how Delta Llyod had implemented and used IT4IT for their operations. The IT4ITTM had been deployed at Delta Llyod for improving their operations and developing their plan for integrated IT services (Home | Delta Lloyd, 2016). The main requirements of implementing the IT4IT at Delta Lyod are inclusion of the mobile application development system, easing the use of the IT services, and managing the risk in business processes. The various risk of deploying the IT services without following IT4ITTM are flaws in design, issues in deploying the system, and threats of complexities. The IT services utilization for the organization would be based on the operations of the business processes (Opengroup.org 2017). However, the deployment of the IT4ITTM had been expecting to deploy ease of direct communication and IT service utilization. The expected benefits from IT4ITTM deployment include the service integration of the various IT services. Adoption Road Map The implementation of the IT4ITTM for the operations at the Delta Llyod had been done by following dividing the stream of operations into simpler and more detailed functions of activities that can be used for managing data objects (Beck, Demirguc-Kunt Merrouche, 2013). The steps included in the implementation process of IT4ITTM are formation of preliminary vision and phase, performing As-Is analysis, following To-be architecture, and Gap Analysis. The deployment of the faster and more effective IT4ITTM would allow the users for forming a basic structure for the deployment model. The processes would help in evaluating the existing business process and determining the operations of the implementation process. The major challenges of deploying the IT4ITTM at the Delta Llyod include the threats and risks that the company would face after deploying the system (Kastalli Van Looy, 2013). The formation of the most suitable operations at the organization would be harmed due to increase in operations. The infrastructure of the IT4ITTM would result in hazarding the open source operations of the organization. The unclear and antecedent operations of the organization would result in merging the IT4ITTM within the organization. The main challenges arouses when the implementation of the IT4ITTM would be resulted from the resistance of the employees and operations for making assistance with the new system developed (Khanagha, Volberda Oshri, 2014). The accumulation of the inbuilt system had caused by the deployed of the modified system of cloud network. Outcomes of IT4ITTM adoption The IT4ITTM system would be deployed for modifying the operations of the Delta Lyod. The adoption of the system had deployed the benefits of mobile application development in the organization (Beck, Demirguc-Kunt Merrouche, 2013). The customers of Delta Llyod had been benefited by the use of mobile application development for their operations of Life Insurance payments and policies. The mobile app had provided the assurance of the informative and operational development in the organization. The other benefit of using the IT4IT system had been helpful for deploying the direct consolidation to the IT services with the help of an integrator or broker. The Integrator or broker would act as a bridge between the operations of the organization with the various IT services like big data analytics, ERP, or cloud (SaaS). Conclusion It can be concluded from the report that the operations of the Delta Llyod had been improved by the deployment of the faster and more effective system integration architecture model of IT4ITTM in the operations of the organization. The organization had been facing some issues in deploying the existing system for their operations such as risk factors, threat of slow operations, and non acceptance with the latest innovation technology. The IT4ITTM had provided the benefit of using of mobile application development, assuring the informative and operational development, direct consolidation to the IT services, and forming a bridge between the operations of the organization with the various IT services. Recommendations for Delta Llyod Some recommendations for Delta Llyod are provided below, Develop Cloud Access: The cloud access would allow its major stakeholders for accessing the data and information in the organization. Integrating Payment Platforms: The payment platforms would ease the process of the payment gateways from the various online customers. Social Media Review: The social media review would help them to understand what their customers expect in terms of services from them. References Beck, T., Demirg-Kunt, A., Merrouche, O. (2013).
